Dora De Los Santos, 83, longtime Hereford resident died Saturday, April 28, 2012 at her residence with her family at her bedside.
A Rosary is scheduled for 6:30 pm, Monday, April 30, 2012 in Hereford Heritage Funeral Home Chapel of Memories, 411 E 6th Street.
A Mass of Resurrection Burial service is scheduled for 2:00 pm, May 1, 2012 at La Iglesia De San Jose Catholic Church, 709 Brevard Street, Hereford with Msgr. Joe Bixenman as celebrant. Burial will follow in St. Anthony’s Catholic Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Hereford Heritage Funeral Home.
Dora was born September 10, 1928 in Villaldama, N. L., Mexico to Justina and Felipita Olivarez. Dora married Juan De Los Santos in 1957 in Laredo, Texas and moved to Hereford. She was a member of La Iglesia De San Jose Catholic Church and the Guadalupanas of San Jose. She was a homemaker, loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend to many. Dora loved spoiling her grandchildren, and was best known for her Menudo and enjoyed watching the news.
Dora was preceded in death by her parents, her best friend and love of her life and husband of 55 years, 1 daughter Angelica De Los Santos, 2 sisters and 2 brothers.
Survivors include 2 sons Juan De Los Santos, Jr. and wife Nora of Edinburg, Seferino “Jeff” De Los Santos and wife Audrey of Hereford, 4 daughters Irma Dominguez and husband Edward of Hereford, Cathy Rincon and husband Johnny of Hereford, Isabel Coria of Amarillo, Nancy Reyna of Mission, 3 brothers Justino Olivarez, Jr., and wife Paula of Mexico, Roman Olivarez and wife Norma of Mexico, Raymundo Olivarez and wife Yolanda of Mexico, 21 grandchildren and 30 great grandchildren.
